This symposium is the fifth in a series sponsored by the SGC. Past symposia have focused on general mechanisms
of epigenetic regulation, the role of epigenetics in inflammation, and environmental interactions with the human
epigenome. This year's symposium will serve as a forum to discuss the most recent developments in our
understanding of the role of epigenetic mechanisms in the development and treatment of cancer, and in the
maintenance and differentiation of stem cells and cancer initiating cells.
This symposium is co-organized by the Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) and the Ontario Cancer Institute (OCI).
